Back in the 1930s, Bill Cockrall ran a sawmill on Cleveland Street in downtown Nashville. Word spread about the quality of Appalachian timber, and the business grew into two more mills, a move to a 22-acre operation in Burns, Tennessee, and eventually one of the most diversified hardwood companies in the country. In 1985, Bill Joyce purchased the company, carrying its legacy forward as a family-owned business that continues to serve craftsmen and builders today.
